Lena Dunham is almost ready to launch her newsletter, Lenny. But instead of celebrating or partying, the actress started out in a pensive mood, posting a special preview about the late Sandra Bland's legacy.

Sandra Bland, an activist against police brutality and co-founder of the website Woman4Woman, was found hanged in her police cell last July, after being arrested for switching lanes without signalling. Much speculation has surrounded her mysterious death, with many asking whether it was really suicide, as the police claimed, or something more sinister.

For Lena's special newsletter preview, the actress spoke to Sandra's good friend and co-founder of Woman4Woman, Chenai Okammor. The two talked about the website, which just launched Monday, as well as the legacy that Sandra has left. You can read the full interview here.

We already know how amazing Lena is and creating a platform that is able to spark change and discussion just made us love her more. You can sign up for her newsletter on her website. We already did.
