Lamar Odom undergoes surgery
Ex-NBA star in fragile state with Khloé by his side
Lamar Odom has undergone surgery to treat pneumonia that reportedly developed, People confirms. After reportedly going into a coma, Lamar was intubated and given dialysis at a Vegas hospital, then transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA for more medical treatment earlier this week. He's since shown signs of neurological function but is still in a critical state, now undergoing surgery.
"Lamar is in a very fragile state," a source reveals. "The infection, that is being aggressively treated with strong intravenous antibiotics, is unfortunately not getting better. There are many concerns about his health." TMZ also reported that he had two emergency surgeries.
A separate source told People that his family is very worried. "Everyone in the family is texting different people, telling them to pray for him. They haven't said what is wrong with him, but everyone is very concerned," the source said, adding, "They knew that there could be setbacks and complications, and that's what we're seeing. He's in everyone's prayers right now because he's definitely not out of the woods. He's in God's hands."
