Lady Gaga covers up for Dubai concert and U2 releases new album after five years

Lady Gaga is "modest" in Dubai
Known for her bizarre and controversial costumes, Lady Gaga agreed to cover up in order to perform a concert from her ArtRave: The ARTPOP Ball tour in Dubai.
"I know there are some artists that are very strict about their policies of adhering to their art and not compromising, but I actually think it’s important to respect other cultures and not force them to adhere to the beliefs of your own country, and in fact, I think it’s a better way to connect with the people and to connect a message," she told Gulf News, a Dubai based English newspaper.
The Applause singer started by wearing something modest at her press conference - a floor-length golden gown paired with a sparkling blue headpiece, created for her by a Dubai-based designer. Something we're not used to see her wearing, but we give her an 'A' for being respecting a country's beliefs.
Yes yes yes, if Lady Gaga is okay with covering herself up in a conservative country, does that mean she's allowed to come here as well? Fingers crossed on this one.
Jennifer Garner is not pleased with Ben Affleck after his ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
When we watched Ben Affleck's ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video, we thought it was adorable that he dragged his wife, Jennifer Garner into the pool with him after being dunked. Turns out Jennifer wasn't so thrilled.
She told Access Hollywood when she attended 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, "If you drop your phone, or if your husband tosses you in the pool on the ALS Challenge, and you weren't expecting it, and your phone was in your back pocket and it got killed … you have to go a day without your phone… But it was so liberating not to have it and not to check it, and just be like, 'Well, people will have to call me [at home] if they need me!'"
Okay, maybe Jennifer isn't that pissed but if she did have her phone in her pocket she can always get Ben to buy her a new phone. The iPhone 6 is in stores soon…
U2 announces new album at Apple Live
Besides announcing two new iPhones, Apple Watch and a digital wallet, Apple has sneakily announced one of the world's highest selling bands, U2's new album, Songs of Innocence, their first album in five years. And to make things even cooler, the album will be automatically added in iTunes users' libraries for free from September 9.
Yes, ma'am. You might want to check your iTunes now; you might probably have their new album right about now.
Robert Pattinson's sister auditions for The X-Factor
Twilight Robert Pattinson's older sister Lizzy Pattinson did the unspeakable by auditioning for The X-Factor UK - and without mentioning her famous last name. It's bizarre because Lizzy could just ask her brother's help to make it to the top but the 31 year-old personal assistant even denied knowing her brother. Even when Simon Cowell mentioned that she looked familiar, and asked if they'd met before, Lizzy cheekily responded with a joke, "Maybe in your dreams."
She went along and performed Bonnie Raitt's It Feels Like Home.
Pretty good vocals, we might add. We guess the Pattinson talent runs in the blood.
