Kim Kardashian West shares her social media wisdom
Meanwhile, Kylie Jenner is in a huff about her lips, Sia’s breath is up for grabs and we meet Robbie Williams’ baby via Twitter
Kim Kardashian talks about selfies and social media at a tech conference
Kim K fans had the chance to glean a little insight into the vast empire that is her social media when she guest spoke at mobile-themed tech conference Code/Mobile in Silicon Valley. The 34-year-old TV star, who just celebrated her birthday, talked about the success of her game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood and shared the social media tips that have made her as wildly popular as she is today.
The little secrets we loved best? That she still uses a Blackberry for everything except taking photos, that she writes and posts all her own stuff, and that Instagram is her favourite platform. No surprises there for the queen of all #selfies.
Sia bottles her breath for a good cause
In case you’d ever wondered what it’d be like to own a little piece of Sia, you very well might have the chance to come October 31. The chart-topping Chandelier singer has breathed into a container and offered it to the organisers of the Adelaide Film Festival who will be putting it up for auction.
Festival director Amanda Duthrie told a local newspaper, “Gorgeously and magnificently she breathed into a jar for us." How anyone breathes gorgeously and magnificently is beyond us, but Amanda also confirmed that the jar has been “sealed with silver sealing wax so no one can accidentally open it.”
Famous Australian film personalities Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton will auction off the jar of Sia breath particles during a movie quiz night they’re hosting at the festival on Halloween. All proceeds will be donated to charity. Anything for a good cause, eh?
Robbie Williams’ live tweet of his son’s birth is making us clucky
In a bid to keep his wife, Ayda Field, distracted from labour pains – or perhaps just because he’s super excited to be a dad – Robbie Williams live tweeted the whole birth of his son.
He starts with a funny shot of Ayda’s stiletto’d feet and the words, “When Ayda goes into labour she comes correct ; ) RW X”. Over the next 14 hours of labour and birth, the couple posted little videos as they mucked about, sang songs and cracked daft jokes.
Finally, on Tuesday morning, they posted a final video announcing the arrival of their baby – done with a cheeky twist of course. It wouldn’t be Robbie otherwise. See the whole series of tweets on Robbie’s Twitter feed.
"No Moms Were Harmed" Thank you for sharing the journey with us, we have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy. RW x http://t.co/dgS5SiykQC— Robbie Williams (@robbiewilliams) October 28, 2014
Let’s stop talking about Kylie Jenner’s lips
While the Interwebs are blowing up over its endless debate about Renee Zellweger’s new face, the youngest Kardashian Kylie Jenner is voicing her own frustration over all the talk about her lips.
Have they been plastic-surgeried? Have they not? Well, Kylie wishes people would stop talking about it and she’s sent out three tweets to make sure we all get it. (Although here we are… still talking about them). The real question perhaps should be if this is just a humble-brag tactic? A veiled fishing for more compliments (or attention)? Or nothing more than a self-absorbed parade of #firstworldproblems?
Just talk about something new at least. I'm bored.— Kylie Jenner (@KylieJenner) October 28, 2014
