Kendall Jenner fires security guard after being robbed
Reports say that the guard was posted outside her home when the robbery happened
[Updated 20 March 2017] Kendall Jenner has reportedly dismissed one of her security guards one day after she was robbed. TMZ reports that the guard had been stationed outside the house when the burglar, said to be an uninvited guest, stole US$200,000 (approx. RM888,600) worth of jewellery from Kendall's jewellery box in her bedroom. These included Rolex and Cartier watches.
Kendall Jenner was reportedly robbed on Wednesday.
According to TMZ, the model had been hosting a party with a group of friends that night and left them at her home when she went out at midnight. She returned about an hour later and found that her jewellery box was open. A reported US$200,000 (approx. RM888,600) worth of jewellery was missing.
Sources add that sometime during the evening, she heard an alarm go off in her house but thought nothing of it. As there was no sign of forced entry and it seemed that the thieves knew exactly where Kendall kept her jewellery, it suggests that the culprits could have been her party guests.
"Kendall's really upset about it. She's been telling her friends the situation totally sucks," a source told People. "She's had people over at her house today to up security and they're talking about getting more cameras put in. It's definitely looking like it was someone she knew."
The incident comes months after Kendall's sister Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint by masked men who stole millions of dollars worth of jewellery from her Paris hotel.
