Keira Knightley's Chanel Wedding Dress Is Ruined
The British actress' best friend accidentally spilt red wine on the cream frock Keira wore for her wedding
The face of the new Coco Mademoiselle ad, Keira Knightley won't be able to recycle her Chanel wedding dress anymore because it's has been, as she says, "impressively splattered" with red wine.
The Chanel dress, which she already owned was Keira's 'something old' for her wedding with The Klaxons' James Righton.
"It's now got red wine spilled down the front because the last time I wore it my friend went like this", she said in an interview, jutting out her elbows, "and now it's everywhere."
Keira's acting portfolio may consist of many polished, sometimes uppity heroins (we can't be the only ones thinking of Pride & Prejudice and Atonement), and while tough she is, the fashionable football fan obviously is more relaxed than her onscreen characters.
In fact, while some – if not most – brides would have gone full-on bridezilla mode with a ruined gown, Keira is unbelievably positive about the destructive stain on hers.
"I'm pretty sure I can get it out but, if I can't, I'm happy with the memory of a good night and the story of how the dress got destroyed," she said.
When asked if she would have passed the dress (sans the stains) down to a daughter, Keira replied that she's not sure she would. Ah, just as well then.
