Katy Perry talks about driving for an hour to see Orlando Bloom
And an ELLE writer from Cheras can relate so hard
Celebrity relationships are not exempt to the pressures of distance and time spent apart. Take Katy Perry's romance with Orlando Bloom for example. The singer revealed to WWD that she has to travel to Malibu from her Los Angeles home just to visit her beau (and we can only assume that Orlando returns the favour, perhaps by paddleboarding naked instead of driving). In case you didn't know, the trip usually takes about an hour.
"My boyfriend lives in MaIibu and getting used to that [drive] was, like, 'Are you kidding me? What kind of life is this?'" she said. "I get the whole coming to L.A and living by the beach thing, but it's really...it's so far, nobody [who lives in town] is going to come see you."
Nobody is going to come see you. I feel you, Katy. The hour-long drive from LA to Malibu is equivalent to driving through the traffic jam from Cheras to Subang Jaya after work (sometimes also on the weekends when everyone else is magically on the road, or has boyfriends/girlfriends in Subang Jaya as well). It's a journey I take just to see my boyfriend almost daily.
Oh Katy, the things we do for love! (Though my boyfriend isn't Legolas.)
