Kanye West was reportedly paranoid and depressed
Sources say that the rapper was convinced that "people were out to get him"
[Updated 28 November 2016] TMZ has reported that Kanye West had been admitted to the hospital last week in a paranoid and depressed state. Sources say that he was convinced that "people were out to get him, including the doctors who were caring for him" and that his paranoia had been "building for months". Apparently, Kanye would not let anyone, not even the doctors, touch him.
Kanye is not going through this alone as his wife Kim Kardashian has been by his side throughout the ordeal. "Kim has been amazing," an insider told Us Weekly. "She knew he couldn't keep going the way he was. She has been by his side through all of his, helping to feed him and laying by his side."
Kanye is expected to be discharged from the hospital later today.
[Updated 22 November 2016] Kanye West has been hospitalised after abruptly cancelling the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo tour. This comes days after the rapper had performed only three songs to a huge crowd at Sacramento, California where he had delivered a 17-minute rant on stage.
NBC News reported that Los Angeles police had responded to a welfare call at about 1.20pm (4.20pm ET) and that there was no criminal activity involved. According to Billboard, Ye's admission had been a result of his exhaustion and sleep deprivation, and that he checked in willingly under the consultation of his physician for his own health and safety.
However, TMZ reports that Kanye had apparently been reluctant to go to the hospital at first after "acting erratically" at his trainer's home. He also had to be handcuffed to a gurney while being transported to UCLA Medical Center.
It's not a good time to be a Kanye West fan, especially if you've spent hundreds to watch him at a concert. Why? The risk of him prematurely ending the concert on a whim has just risen tenfold.
The rapper had another on-stage meltdown during his Saint Pablo concert in California on Saturday. Not only did Kanye show up over an hour late, he performed only three songs before launching into a tirade during which he mentioned Beyoncé, Jay Z, and Hillary Clinton. He also called Taylor Swift "great" and criticised President Barack Obama, saying that he couldn't make America great again "because he couldn't be him to be who he was."
"I'm putting my career, my life, my public well-standing at risk when I talk to ya'll like this," he said. "Beyoncé, I was hurt cause I heard you said you wouldn't perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and over Hotline Bling."
"Now, don't go trying to diss Beyoncé, she is great. Taylor Swift is great. We are all great people. We are all equal. But sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forgetting who we are just to win. F**k winning," he told the crowd. "I've been sitting here to give ya'll my truth even at the risk of my own life — even at the risk of my own success, my own career."
People in the crowd look shocked. Disappointed. Starting to leave the arena.— Frances Wang (@ABC10Frances) November 20, 2016
But Kanye didn't seem to care that he had pissed his fans off. "I'm not always going to say things the perfect way, the right way," he said. "But I'm going to say how I feel. Get ready to have a field day, press. Get ready, get ready. Because the show's over." And then he dropped his mic and left the stage. Unlike Justin Bieber, he didn't come back.
Meanwhile, fans (or at least they used to be) have kicked off a #KanyeIsOverParty hashtag.

#KanyeIsOverParty isnt about politics. It's about lack of respect for the people who paid 100s of dollars to watch a 39 year old have a rant— Saffron (@Saffronkr28) November 20, 2016
Kanye didn't get the memo. If you mention Trump or Trump Voters you must call them racists or Liberals will attack you. #KanyeIsOverParty— Tim Black ™ (@RealTimBlack) November 20, 2016

So is it finally confirmed, then, that Liberals embrace all forms of "diversity" except for diversity of opinion?
Even fellow rapper Snoop Dogg wasn't pleased by Ye's antics.
