Justin Timberlake to star in animated film 'Trolls'

He is also set to produce the film's soundtrack

Singer Justin Timberlake has been announced to star in the upcoming DreamWorks Animation film Trolls alongside actress Anna Kendrick who will play Princess Poppy.

His character Branch will be 'a hardcore survivalist who hides his surprising true colours'. The nine-time Grammy award winning actor will also perform for and produce the soundtrack while overseeing all creative direction for the film's music.

"I have always envisioned bringing the two worlds of film and music together for one epic event," Justin said in a statement. "I couldn't be more excited that they will collide in DreamWorks Animation's Trolls. This film is very special, the music is going to be very special and I can't wait for everyone to experience it all."

Trolls is scheduled to open in cinemas in the US on 4 November this year. Stay tuned for the Malaysian date!
