Johor Princess Tunku Tun Aminah marries Dennis Muhammad Abdullah

Yesterday, the princess of Johor, Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Ibrahim tied the knot with Dennis Muhammad Abdullah at the Serene Hill Palace in Johor Bahru. The ceremony was attended by close friends and family of the couple.
The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar and his wife Permaisuri Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah Sultan Idris Shah as well as Dennis's parents Martin and Henriette Verbaas were there to witness the momentous occasion.
In keeping with the tradition, Dennis wore a baju melayu teluk belanga and presented his wife with a mas kahwin (dowry) of RM22.50. The bride and groom's families also exchanged trays of gifts – presents from the royal family included a copy of the Quran, a prayer mat, a gold ring, a set of baju melayu teluk belanga and sampin.
Later on in the evening, the newlyweds held a dinner reception at Istana Besar with 1,200 guests in attendance. In an interview, Tunku Tun Aminah revealed her excitement on moving out of the palace. "We will move into our new home and start life anew as husband and wife," she said. "This will be the first time I will be living alone, and away from my parents and family."
