Jimmy Fallon shaves Jared Leto's beard
Find out which celeb couples are breaking up, and what Rita Ora's new job is
Jimmy Fallon trims Jared Leto's beard
While anti-beardists everywhere will cheer, we're sure there are many among you who would cringe watching Jimmy Fallon shave off the sacred beard that is Jared Leto's. The Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman admitted that he needed a trim, after all, and Jimmy was willing (and armed) to oblige.
Jared loved the results, saying "He trimmed my bush good." It also must have made that stare-down contest they had afterwards a lot easier for Jimmy. If, one day, the TV host wants a change of career, we bet barbershops would love to have him.
Why did Zac Efron and Michelle Rodriguez break up?
Ah, summer love. Sometimes it lasts all the way through, sometimes even longer and sometimes it involves a love triangle. When Zac Efron and Michelle Rodriguez apparently split up after being linked for two months, the burning question was why?
Michelle's ex, Cara Delevingne, that's why. According to a source, because Cara and Michelle shared the same social circle, the British model was often mentioned and even sometimes present wherever Zac was hanging out with Michelle. "Cara would spend time on the same boat and Cara and Michelle have all the same friends. It was just a lot. It was always, 'Cara, Cara, Cara'" the source added. That's your cue to move on, Zac, because it seems that Michelle never really did.
Are Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey calling it quits?
America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon has revealed that he and Mariah Carey have not been longer living together. "There is trouble in paradise," the actor said. "We have been living in separate houses for a few months." Nick also dashed rumours about infidelity being the cause of their separation. No divorce has been finalised yet, but the couple, who were secretly married in 2008 continue to channel their attention towards their twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
Rita Ora to join The Voice UK as a judge
Fear not, Rita Bots. Although the singer turned down a seven-figure deal from Simon Cowell to join this year's X Factor judging panel, she may be taking up the same post on The Voice UK. Rita Ora is to replace Kylie Minogue, who left the competition series at the end of season three. "It has taken months of negotiations but Rita is happy and thinks the show is a much better fit for her than The X Factor," a show insider revealed. Her appointment remains a speculation until an official announcement has been made, but we'd really like to see Rita join will.i.am, Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson on the panel.
Former Harry Potter director may direct Fantastic Beasts films
David Yates, who directed four of the eight Harry Potter films, is reportedly in talks with Warner Bros to helm the franchise's spin-off films, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. JK Rowling is penning the script for the films, which will centre on Newt Scamander, the writer of the famed wizard textbook.
And speaking of Harry Potter...
50 Cent's Harry Potter challenge
Rapper 50 Cent has challenged boxer Floyd Mayweather to what he called a "special ASL/ELS challenge" (huh?). "If you could read one full page of a Harry Potter book," he said to Floyd, "I'll give $750,000 to whatever charitable organisation you want" before chucking a bucket of ice off the balcony. Although 50 Cent completely missed the point of the ALS awareness campaign and fundraiser, we hope he'll keep his word about donating three-quarters of a million dollars if Floyd breezes through that one page (anything but Harry's first kiss scene, please).
