Jimmy Fallon scares Sam Smith out of performing 'Money on My Mind'

After hearing Jimmy's rendition, Sam says it's permanently off his set

Sam Smith went on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show yesterday to promote his album rerelease The Lonely Hour (Drowning Shadows Edition). What he didn't expect to get on the show was a mad rendition from Jimmy of one of the album's songs, Money on my Mind.

Fallon first started gushing about the song, saying that it's his favourite on the album, then proceeded to cover the song to the best of his ability, voice cracking and high-pitched attempts all included. "I love all my songs but that one grates on me a little bit," the Brit singer said, but Jimmy just kept going.

At the end Sam's response indicated he may never perform the song again, ever. “Oh my god, that song’s been taken out of my set,” Smith laughed. Watch the hilarious video above.
