Actress Jessica Alba's healthy lifestyle brand, The Honest Company, has just made her one of the richest self-made women in America.

Business Wire just announced that the company has closed $100million (approx. RM410million) in Series D financing, which refers to the fourth or fifth round of raising funds for the company, generally through investors. The business is currently worth $1.7billion (approx. RM7billion), and since Jessica owns a 20% stake in the company, she is now worth about $340million (approx. RM1.3billion), on paper at least.

With these new numbers, Jessica is officially richer than other self-made American women such as Beyoncé and YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki. Ah, see what a little honesty can do?
