Jennifer Lawrence breaks Guinness World Record
Meanwhile, Scarlett Johansson is a new mum, James Franco goes bald and Kendall Jenner eyes Fifty Shades sequel
Jennifer Lawrence is a Guinness World Record breaker
Forget the nude photo scandal; Jennifer Lawrence has better things to cheer her up, even without her going nuts on her own. At just 24-years-old, she has earned the title of the Highest-grossing action movie heroine, appearing in the Guinness World Records 2015 book, which will be launched on 11 September.
Her title, of course, is thanks to the first two The Hunger Games instalments, which grossed $1.52 billion internationally. The second film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire also landed a page in the book for being the highest-grossing post-apocalyptic movie, with a $854 million international ranking. With Mockingjay Parts 1 and 2 yet to be released, it is possible that JLaw will hold the record for the next two years at least.
Kendall Jenner is eyeing a role in Fifty Shades of Grey sequel
Is socialite and TV personality-turned-model Kendall Jenner trying to follow in the footsteps of Cara Delevingne? The Givenchy campaign star is reportedly in talks to snap up a role in the second Fifty Shades film.
Fifty Shades of Grey director, Sam Taylor-Johnson is apparently a huge fan of the 18-year-old, who – according to an insider – said that she will "only sign on once Sam Taylor-Wood is confirmed as the director. Sam is not the only one who's interested. "Universal is also keen for Kendall to be involved in the sequel. They put in a call to her people and arranged a meeting last month, which went really well," the source added.
Scarlett Johansson is a mother now Congratulations, ScarJo!
The actress and her fiancée, Romain Dauriac, are the proud first-time parents of a baby girl, Rose. Before you go on a Googling spree, we should tell you that a spokesman for the couple have said that they wish to maintain their privacy. They are going in line with the celebrity effort, No Kids Policy, which was started by Kristen Bell to protect children with famous parents from the media. Until Scarlett and Romain are ready, we doubt that paparazzi are going to get any photos of Rose anytime soon.
James Franco shaves his head
Multi-tasking James Franco strikes again. This time, the actor did a little cross-promotion for a pair of Gucci sunglasses (if you remember, he directed and starred in the campaign film) and an upcoming project, Zeroville. But we all know what we're here for: the man is bald as a coot.
In 2011, James obtained the film rights to Steve Erickson's novel, Zeroville, which centres on Ike Jerome, a man who aspires to break into the Hollywood film industry in the 1970s. No word if James will also play Ike, but we're eager to see if the Zeroville-famous Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Cliff tattoos will decorate that new shine.
