Jay Park and Anggun talk 'Asia's Got Talent' chemistry
The Indonesian singer joins forces with the Korean rapper as 'Asia's Got Talent' season 2 judges
On this season of Asia's Got Talent, a new judge is joining Anggun and David Foster: it's Jay Park. And you can bet with Jay's presence, the group's got a whole new dynamic for fans to see. Previously, on season one, Anggun and David had Vaness Wu and Melanie C as colleagues.
"At first, I had my reservations because you know, we went from four judges to three and I'm the only girl," Anggun told ELLE. "I thought that 'Oh, what is this going to be?' But instead, everything went super naturally."
"We bonded quite fast. Especially with this kind of TV show where the cameras are always rolling, you can't make a mistake with chemistry, you know. You can't," she added. "You either just have it or you don't have it. And luckily, I think we just genuinely like each other, all three of us."
"I mean, I'm used to David already. Him being the dream crusher, he gives hard hitting comments sometimes but they're always very accurate. And then Jay, he adds a new swag into this panel. He's very smart in his comments and he's a very nice human being as well. So my fear was only temporary," Anggun said.
As for Jay, working with Anggun and David was a treat. "I didn't know how the chemistry was going to be because I never met them before but you know, once I met them, they were very, very cool," Jay told ELLE in a separate interview. "Very humble, very genuine nice people. So it's been nothing but good times with them."
