Iggy Azalea denies blaming Britney Spears for 'Pretty Girls' flop

The singer blames media for misunderstanding her tweets instead

Tweeting and then getting your tweet spun into stories bigger than it is – just one of the everyday struggles of a celebrity. Iggy Azalea is in the hot seat once again after she was accused of blaming her friend Britney Spears for their song Pretty Girls's not-so-good reception. The Australian rapper, however, called out the Internet for twisting her words.

The singer's first comments came when a fan noted how despite the song not topping charts, it was still wildly popular.

And then came the sensationalised headlines, which got on Iggy's nerves.
