Henry Golding to star alongside Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively in 'A Simple Favor'
The 'Crazy Rich Asians' actor will play the husband of Blake Lively's character in the upcoming thriller
Henry Golding is quickly climbing the Hollywood ladder. Following his lead role in the highly anticipated Crazy Rich Asians book-to-film adaptation, the Malaysian actor has been cast in his next movie, A Simple Favor. Directed by Paul Feig (who did last year's Ghostbusters remake), the film also stars Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively.
Henry will play Blake's on-screen husband Sean (watch out, Ryan Reynolds. Kidding, nothing will ever break up the Reynolds).
Based on the 2017 novel of the same name by Darcey Bell, A Simple Favor tells the story of mummy blogger Stephanie (Anna) who investigates her best friend Emily's (Blake) sudden disappearance. Emily's husband, Sean also helps in her quest to uncover the mystery. Expect murder, revenge, betrayals and secrets to come together in the plot.
Henry also took to his Instagram to share the exciting news. According to The Hollywood Reporter, filming kicks off on 14 August 2017 in Toronto, Canada.
