British artist FKA Twigs released a new track yesterday on Zane Lowe's Beats Radio 1 show and in typical Twigs style, we found the track to be gloomy but really interesting. She also performed at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago over the weekend, where she revealed the title of her upcoming album and when it will drop.

"I have a new EP coming out and it's called Melissa. It's going to be out in the next couple of weeks," she told MTV News. "It's a really exciting project, I think it's very personal and very heartfelt. It's very raw and quite dark in places, but you've just got to go through it to get to the light."

But why is the album called Melissa? "It's just a girl's name so it kind of embodies that energy for me. It's not an alter ego or anything," she said. "It's a way of me objectifying that female energy so I could separate it into a place where I could write about it fairly." That's pretty deep, Twigs, but you do you. While waiting for her album to drop, give Figure 8 a listen below.
