Emma Stone carries 'Andrew Garfield' bag, sets the world on fire
Why, Emma, why?
Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield broke our hearts when they reportedly broke up. And then they rekindled a little hope in us when they were spotted grocery shopping together in May. And now... Emma has been seen leaving her stylist's office with a paper bag labelled "Andrew Garfield."
Hear that boom? That's the sound of the Internet detonating (because "breaking" the Internet is so yesterday).
It's important to note that Emma and Andrew share the same stylist, so it could have been that she was just helping Andrew pick up his things or playing a prank or... well, we will never know for sure.
"When I picked up the bag, I was like, 'This is kind of funny if there are any [paparazzi] out there,'" she told WSJ Magazine about the paparazzi moment. "There's probably some rebelliousness that comes out in me after all these stories and people texting you for weeks about something that, for the most part, is not true. But even when it's false, I would rather just let it be false."
What's not true? The part where they broke up or the part that they got back together? Assuming that she was indeed picking up Andrew's things from the stylist, it means that they still, at least, somewhat amiable at all.
"See, I never talk about this stuff for this exact reason – because it's all so speculative and baseless," she added. "Once you start responding – once you're like, 'No, that's not true' – then they're like, 'Well, if we push enough, we'll get a comment, so let's see what else we can make up.' I understand the interest in it completely because I've had it, too. But it's so special to me that it never feels good to talk about, so I just continually don't talk about it."
Anyway, she's got plenty on her mind now that's she's about to fly off to Cannes for the premiere of her film Irrational Man before starting on another big project: musical film La La Land, in which she co-stars with Ryan Gosling. Yes, there will be singing and dancing, which is no problem for the recent Broadway star (remember Cabaret?).
