Ed Sheeran may volunteer at a Suffolk charity shop
The singer reportedly wants to give back to his hometown
Ed Sheeran is giving back to the community of Framlingham, Suffolk, where he grew up. The 24-year-old singer-songwriter is said to be planning to volunteer at the Sue Ryder charity shop there.
"There's a good possibility he will volunteer here. We'd welcome him," Sue Ryder manager Jacqui Bell told The Mirror. "My volunteers, who are aged between 61 and 91, know Ed because he was brought up in the town. They would be fine working with him."
He reportedly also wants to donate some of his clothes to local charities and set up a youth centre in Framlingham.
"He purchased the old police station to open up a youth club for £1 million [approx.RM6.6 million], so he'll also be helping there when it's up and running. I think he will draw the youngsters into our shop which would be good for us," Jacqui added.
A recent photo Ed posted on Instagram was hashtagged #suffolk, suggesting that there could be something in the works, or that he was just missing his hometown. There has yet to be any confirmation from the man himself, but if he is to really take a long break from music to work in charity, we're guessing that he may not start until after his final X tour show on 12 December in Auckland.
