George Clooney prepares for Christmas with Hugh Bonneville on Downton Abbey
We've known this for a while now, but in case you missed it before (we wouldn't blame you because they really made an effort to keep things quiet), George Clooney is going to be on Downton Abbey. Kind of. Here he is (photo above) on the set of the ITV series to promote a sketch for British charity Text Santa with The Monuments Man co-star and Downton Abbey regular, Hugh Bonneville, which airs in the UK on December 19.

A plot synopsis of the clip on ITV reads: "It's Christmas at Downton and Lord Robert Crawley (Hugh Bonneville) seems to be facing financial ruin once again. He's beginning to wonder if his family may be better off without him but divine intervention in the form of a very special heavenly body gives him a view of what life would really be like without his guiding spirit."

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that George will also appear in the actual Downton Christmas special, but we won't rule out being pleasantly surprised again. Watch the actor in the preview below.

Atilia Haron and Adam Sofian have their wedding reception
Three months after jazz singer Atilia Haron married Adam Sofian, a sound engineer, in an intimate ceremony, the couple celebrated with friends and family at their wedding reception over the weekend. Atilia, 40, wore a gown with ruffle detail by Rico Rinaldi and a stunning lace veil. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Kit Harington isn't allowed to cut his hair and we're totally okay with it
It's not just Kit Harington's puppy dog eyes or his British accent that make us tick; it's also the tousled, curly locks he's been sporting since we were first acquainted with that grumpy mien on Game of Thrones.

Guess what; he'll be keeping that hairstyle for a good long while (we're not pretending we know what will happen to his character, Jon Snow on the HBO series) because Kit said that playing Jon Snow means that he's not allowed to have his hair cut short.

"I'm more recognisable in public than much better-known actors. So many people watch, and I go around looking like my character," he told British GQ in an interview, which will be released in the magazine's January issue.

"I'd get people coming up to me in the street and asking if I was OK," he added, addressing his typically sombre expression. "But this is my default. I laugh, I make jokes, I just happen to reside in this face."

Yeah, we're totally fine with you residing in that face, Kit.

Queen Elizabeth II is to visit the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's new home at Christmas
Prince William and Kate are to host Britain's monarch at their new home in Norfolk during the Christmas season. Kate's family will apparently be staying there for the holidays as well.

Anmer Hall, the country house that Queen Elizabeth II gave her grandson and his wife as a wedding present, has not yet been visited by Her Majesty since the Duke and Duchess had it renovated.

"The Queen is looking forward to seeing the house, especially the new nursery that Kate has designed," said a source. The Georgian manor will serve as William and Kate's private home, while Kensington Palace is to remain their official residence.
