David Beckham Teams Up With Diageo To Create The Haig Club Whisky
Have a long, tall glass of Becks
[Updated 9 October 2014] David Beckham's Single Grain Scotch Whisky is now being sold online, but they don't ship to Malaysia. However, haigwhisky.com has it down that the whisky will also be rolling out in restaurants and retail stores in numerous countries, including Malaysia, in coming weeks.
There's a new tall (more like square), dark (blue, really), and handsome (this, definitely) in town, and it lets you take a swig of butterscotch and toffee a la David Beckham.
The former footballer is to help work on a new single grain Scotch whisky for spirits giant Diageo. Christened Haig Club, David's first and new whisky will be launched with House of Haig, Scotland's oldest grain whisky dynasty later this year.
The bottle will apparently look like an after-shave bottle, so it's all very suave, very Beckham. David will also be working with Simon Fuller, music mogul, creator of the American Idol franchise, and long-time pal of the Beckhams for the new drink.
"The House of Haig has a rich history and I'm proud to be working at the heart of a home-grown brand which has built an incredible heritage over 400 years," David said.
