Daniel Craig shuts down reporter in 'Spectre' interview
Sarah Powell got told: "I think you need to move on"
Daniel Craig shut down ITV This Morning reporter Sarah Powell after she repeatedly asked him to pout today. In an interview to promote Spectre, the new Bond film, the 47-year-old actor lost it after Sarah kept goading him to pull the expression.
She constantly pushed him with questions like "Are you familiar with the James Bond pout?" and to "Pout, go on", to which he replied "Do what?", shook his head and bluntly advised her: "I think you need to move on". So. Painful. Watch the video here.
She then went on to ask if "Bond has gone shy", to which he said "He's going shy now". No cues taken. Throughout the interview there were more cringeworthy moments, like when she asked about the amount of polo neck tops he wore during filming and whether he would want to be the Milk Tray Man. She also asked why he didn't strip off in Spectre as much as his other Bond films. Daniel uncomfortably replied, "There is in the opening sequence."
Apparently the awkward moment wasn't edited out and the clip ended abruptly because the video was rushed in the editing room. This Morning co-host Philip Schofield commented: 'We rushed that interview over and edited that quickly, I'm sure we would have taken out the pouting stuff if we had more time."
