Dakota Johnson doesn't want her parents to watch 'Fifty Shades of Grey'
Dakota's mum, Melanie Griffith reveals that she probably won't be watching the erotic drama film starring her daughter
While we're all geared up to watch Fifty Shades of Grey when it finally hits cinemas next Valentine's Day, Melanie Griffith is prepared to be barred from the premieres, cinema halls, and DVDs – all things Fifty Shades wherever it concerns her daughter and star of the film, Dakota Johnson.
"I have not seen Fifty Shades of Grey. I don't think I'm going to see it," the Working Girl star said. The reason is simple: "[Dakota] was like, 'You guys cannot come. There's no way.' So we're not going. I did go visit for a couple of days when they were shooting just normal stuff. I did see the Room of Pain – I did go in there and check it out."
Although Melanie is not 'allowed' to see her daughter realise E L James' BDSM-heavy narrative on the silver screen alongside Jamie Dornan, she is no less proud of her daughter's progress in the film industry.
"She's amazing – so good. It's just so beautiful to see her doing this," the Golden Globe-winning actress said. "She had her mom and her dad and her grandmother and she's just taken us all and thrown us away. She's like, 'Here I am.'"
