Carey Mulligan is pregnant
The 'Suffragette' actress is reportedly expecting her first child with husband Marcus Mumford
The actress, who broke into film as Kitty Bennet in Pride & Prejudice, has been tackling major literary roles since, including Daisy Buchanan in The Great Gatsby, Isabella Thorpe in Northanger Abbey and Bathsheba Everdene in Far from the Madding Crowd. Her latest part as a foot soldier in the British women's suffrage movement in Suffragette has us very excited to see her opposite the likes of Meryl Streep and Helena Bonham Carter.
Most recently, Carey was nominated for her work opposite Bill Nighy in Broadway play Skylight at the Tony Awards. The production closes on 21 June.
"They weren't planning on announcing, but she hasn't stopped working," a source told Us Weekly. "Everybody around her is being very supportive. The show ends soon and they're going back to England after."
Congratulations, Carey and Marcus!
