Cameron Diaz might already be married
[Updated 6 January 2015] A rep for Cameron and Benji has confirmed to People that they tied the knot at their home in Los Angeles.

Before we could even catch our breath about the surprise engagement of Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden (or even have it confirmed!), word has it that the couple is getting married right now, if they haven't already. Us Weekly reports that after holding a rehearsal dinner on Sunday, 4 January, Benji and Cam were to say their I-dos on 5 January. Assuming they are having a dinner reception, the festivities are happening this very morning, 6 January in Malaysian time. Like we said, right now.

There isn't anything on their social media accounts to give anything away, but if it's true, we hope it won't be long before Mr. and Mrs. Madden step out as husband and wife to cheering fans (us included).

Take That's Howard Donald is definitely married
On the other side of the pond, Take That member Howard Donald tied the knot with his girlfriend, Katie Halil, last Friday. Howard met Katie, an illustrator, while filming a Marks & Spencer Christmas ad in 2008 and the pair started dating in 2010.

According to the Mirror, the singer booked luxurious private house Aynhoe Park in Oxfordshire for an extravagant post-wedding party, which was attended by his Take That buddies Gary Barlow and Mark Owen. Former band member Jason Orange was reportedly present as well.

"Howard looked extremely happy with his bride Katie at his side amongst their guests," a guest told the Mirror. "There were about 140 people there – it was a kicking do until at least 1.30am." Sounds like a great start to the rest of their lives together. Congratulations!

Scarlett Johansson is to star in Japanese anime Ghost in the Shell
Talk about diversifying. Scarlett Johansson has played everything from romantic-drama leading ladies and a 16th-century king's mistress to a formless but complex artificial intelligence programme and a dangerous superheroine. Soon, she'll be able to add Japanese anime character to her belt.

Varietyreports that the 30-year-old actress will star in DreamWorks' production of cult anime classic Ghost in the Shell. The studio's co-founder, Steven Spielberg, has been eyeing the possibility of bringing the original 1995 film, which was adapted from the manga franchise, to life for a long time.

The story is set in the year 2029 and centres on intelligence department Public Security Section 9's special-ops task force, which is assigned to hunt down a hacker known as the Puppet Master. It is likely that Scarlett will play the equivalent of the team's cyborg leader, Motoko Kusanagi.

Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders is set to helm Ghost in the Shell. With his experience directing the award-winning Halo 3: ODST television ad, Rupert could very well do justice to a sci-fi film starring one of the most kick-ass actresses of the decade.

Are Katy Perry and John Mayer an item again?
Katy Perry and John Mayer broke up in February 2014, but have been seen together at a friend's dinner party over the weekend. Naturally, it sparked rumours they were getting back together. Sorry, Katy-John fans, but it seems that while they look like they're on good terms, the couple are just friends now.

A source told People: "They actually buried the hatchet a while back, and they are friends. It's not a surprise they would see each other socially. She's focused on her career and making herself happy."

What about Katy's boyfriend Diplo, you ask? E! News is pretty sure that rapper and Katy are still together. Back to your seats, everyone.

Sam Smith thinks pop stars are awful
Sam Smith is in the demographic of 'young pop star' but it doesn't mean he agrees with the attitude that many of his peers demonstrate.

"Even when you meet them – I won't name names – but some of these pop stars are just awful," Sam, 22, told funk legend Chaka Khan in a V magazine interview. "And they have not even had half the success that you've had and yet you're so humble and kind."

The I'm Every Woman singer agreed with him. "Well, it's people skills," she said. "Talking to a screen all day long takes the human experience out. Luckily I grew up in a time when we only had a telephone at home."

In other Sam Smith news, the singer has gone public with his boyfriend, Jonathan Zeizel. See a cute photo of the couple here.
