The details of Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden's wedding
We compile the known deets on Cameron and Benji's surprise nuptials
Cameron kept the whole affair close to home, with celebrity wedding planners Yifat Oren and Stefanie Cove (who did Reese's and Drew's weddings as well) helming the event.
Drew Barrymore, Reese Witherspoon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Richie and Benji's brothers Joel and Josh Madden were reported by People to be among the 90 guests at the nuptials. Actress Toni Colette and DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg were also there, ABC News adds.
A Jewish wedding ceremony for the couple took place at Cameron's Beverly Hills home. According to Us Weekly, Cameron walked up the aisle to Nat King Cole's Stardust, dressed in a sparkly gown with a low back. Her bridesmaids wore black dresses and held white bouquets. Joel and Nicole's 5-year-old son Sparrow was the ring bearer.
A source told E! News that during the outdoor party (which followed a quick 15-minute ceremony), "Benji gave a couple of toasts. Cameron also joined him for one of them." Music wise, they apparently had a piano player and a DJ to serenade (or pump up) the crowd.
Singer Ryan Adams surprised everyone with a performance, as did Lionel Richie, who sang Easy on the piano. The wedding cake was served at 10pm, during which Cameron wore her second dress for the day.
The guests must have stuck to a strict no-photo-sharing rule as there are no snaps of the festivities on Cameron's friends' Instagrams to give anything away. All we can do for now is hope the newlyweds don't take too long to show off their undoubtedly beautiful wedding day photos.
