Caitlyn Jenner is writing a memoir
We wait with bated breath
Caitlyn Jenner is set to publish in Spring 2017 a memoir about her
heavily excessively publicised transformation from celebrated Olympian to transgender reality star. With the PR finesse of the Kardashians behind her, Caitlyn's story has been parlayed into a reality TV show (I Am Cait, in case you've been in hiding) and now, a book, apparently the next inevitable step.
Buzz Bissinger, Pullitzer Prize-winning author of Friday Night Lights who also seems to have attached himself to Caitlyn, having written her Vanity Fair cover story, is co-writing. The New York Times reported he can totally relate, being a self-described "cross-dresser with a big-time fetish for women's leather".
In all seriousness, Buzz says the book will be a no-holds-barred tell-all. "It's her book, but it's going to be reported out to keep her honest," he says, describing the book as "riveting" and "important". So expect even more twisted, complex details, the sort that we never did or just can't get from Keeping Up with the Kardashians and I Am Cait. Combined.
We'd imagine the Kardashian jumble would fill most of that drama-worthy detail in the book, but being Caitlyn, it never gets boring. Some awesome titles for the book the ELLE team is foretelling would be "Hello, It's Me" or "The Most Famous Transgender Woman Who Ever Lived".
As I Am Cait gets picked up for a second season, and with publishing-industry execs speculating the memoir could fetch a seven or eight-figure sum, we can't help but wonder – is there a movie deal in the works too?
