Blake Lively, aspiring lifestyle guru and actress, has shut down her lifestyle website Preserve, after only running it for a little over a year.

She told Time in June that if she had her way, she'd put the website on hold for up to a year before relaunching it, adding that Preserve "wasn't designed to be navigated the way it's being navigated now."

"We have an incredible team of people who do beautiful work, but we launched the site before it was ready, and it never caught up to its original mission," she said in an interview yesterday. "It's not making a difference in people's lives, whether superficially or in a meaningful way."

Prepared for backlash, the Age of Adaline actress said that she isn't backing out completely from the industry.

"It's so much worse to continue to put something out there – to ask my team to put something out there – that isn't the best we can do," the 28-year-old added. "I'm going to take this hit, and the only way I can prove all the negative reactions wrong is to come back with a plan that will rock people. And I have that plan."

Looks like we haven't heard the last of Blake's entrepreneurship efforts, and it sounds like when she does make a comeback, it's going to be good.
