Blake Lively announces the name of her lifestyle website
The Gossip Girl star's website, Preserve will soon (finally) see the light of day
[Updated 22 July 2014] Blake Lively's website, Preserve.us has gone live, with a note from the editor herself. However, Blake insists that "I'm no editor, no artisan, no expert. And certainly no arbiter of what you should buy, wear, or eat." Okay. What we do know is that she is a crusader of sorts for independent fashion, food, and home brands. Browse and preserve as you will.
Blake Lively has kept her website very hush hush since announcing her project late last year, but with the launch date just around the corner, the actress has put a name to it: Preserve.
The 26-year-old beauty, who starred in Green Lantern opposite her now-husband Ryan Reynolds will join the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Lauren Conrad, both of whom run their own lifestyle sites, Goop and The Little Market, respectively. The celebrity world's most recent addition to lifestyle commerce is Ellen DeGeneres, although the TV hosts' brand, E.D. has not yet been launched.
"Preserve will focus on artisans and products, many hand-made one-of-a-kind items all selected by Blake. Items will be available for purchase through the site. Preserve is all about story-telling through video. Blake will be in some of these videos," a source said.
Whether or not this is true, we really don't mind a little Pinterest-worthy collection of trinkets, Instagrammable recipes, and home decor tips from the self-professed homemaker.
