At this morning's Baby Driver press conference held at the Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur, film director Edgar Wright and actor Ansel Elgort told us what it was like to work with Academy Award winners Kevin Spacey and Jamie Foxx who play Doc and Bats respectively in the film.

For Edgar, it was a dream as he never thought they would agree to star in his film.

"They're both legends," Edgar said. "When they both signed up to do the movie, I was thrilled and I didn't quite believe that they were going to be in the movie. And I don't think either of them has worked together before; they've been in the same movie but they didn't share a scene, they've never been on screen together."

"I used to say to my cinematographer Bill Pope, whenever Kevin and Jamie were in the same shot – because they're both Oscar winners – I would whisper, 'It's a double Oscar shot'," Edgar joked.

Basically us too, if we were in the presence of Kevin and Jamie.

It's safe to say that Ansel was as starstruck as Edgar was, if not more so.

"As a young actor, to show up on a set, there are two Oscar winners – Jon Hamm is an Emmy winner – the whole cast was incredible but those two guys, you don't know what to expect because okay, I'm sure it's going to be amazing acting with them but how's it going to be off-screen?" Ansel said.

"And the off-screen honestly, was the part I enjoyed the most. They're the nicest guys I've ever worked with," he continued. "They're the warmest, most generous guys – they just want to support me and help me do the best I can do which was incredible and what I can say is that hopefully one day, I'll be as successful as them." Living the dream, Ansel.

Baby Driver is now playing in cinemas.
