Annie Leibovitz responds to Kanye West on his wedding photo fuss
Annie reportedly didn't bail on shooting the Kimye wedding photo, as she was never confirmed in the first place
Of course, Kanye knows what he wants, and he wanted a photo worthy of Annie Leibovitz's work, so it left him no choice but to slave for four days reworking the photo that would later become the most liked photo on Instagram.
"This was pissing [Kim] off during the honeymoon," Kanye said at a Cannes Lions press conference. "She was exhausted because we worked on the photo so much because Annie Leibovitz pulled out right before the wedding. I think that she was, like, scared of the idea of celebrity."
We'll stop you right there, Kanye. Annie is all but known for her work with celebrities – you should know; you and Kim were shot by her before. Also, she didn't actually pull out.
It's not all war between the rapper and photographer now, though. Annie's representative commented that Kanye's statement was sensationalised and that "She would have loved to have taken their wedding portrait and was disappointed it didn't happen."
Kanye's rep also cleared the air by saying that "Unbeknownst to Kanye, she was never confirmed. Kanye and Annie's representatives were in negotiations for weeks that were not completed by the time of the wedding."
What can you do, Kanye? Life is hard. Now will the actual person who took their wedding photo please stand up? We've got to credit you for the most liked Instagram photo, ever.
