Anne Hathaway talks Taylor Swift and younger actresses
She's also trying to start a book club with Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain
Hollywood really has a way of making one feel really, really old. Just ask Anne Hathaway, who is cover girl of this month's Glamour UK magazine. "When I was in my early 20s, parts would be written for women in their 50s and I would get them. And now I'm in my early 30s and I'm like, 'Why did that 24 year old get that part?' I was that 24 year old once, I can't be upset about it, it's the way things are," Anne tells Glamour.
Anne, ever the optimist, on the other hand, tries to make the most of her out-of-work days by, well, reading a book. In fact, she's trying to start a book club with her good friends Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain. "I said, 'Let's all read this book!' But I'm not working and they are, so it's not going very well," says the Les Misérables actress.
In the cover story, the 32-year-old actress also talks about meeting Taylor Swift when the singer was dating Jake Gyllenhaal, and admits to being a 'Swiftie.' Anne says, "She was 20 at the time, and we hung out one night. I was like, 'You are a magnificent creature.' She was on fire and I've watched her become this force of nature."
