Angelina Jolie fights back over Daily Mail video
Angelina Jolie has started legal action against the Daily Mail over the recent video they published of her from the 90s
It's not been the best week for the Daily Mail coming up against big celebrities. First came the George Clooney case, in which the Mail published an article claiming Amal Alamuddin's mother objected to her upcoming marriage to George Clooney on religious grounds. George Clooney wrote an open letter condemning the Mail's decision to publish the 'fabricated' article, which was followed by the swift removal of said article, an apology from the Mail, and another angry reply from George.
Now it looks like Angelina Jolie is going to fight back against the paper too, after they published a video of her from the nineties. Entitled "Bloodshot hollow eyes, emaciated arms and rambling on the phone: Haunting video of Angelina Jolie the heroin addict", the video purportedly shows Angelina Jolie as a heroin user. It was allegedly shot by Franklin Meyer, who claims to have been the actress' drug dealer.
Angelina Jolie has started legal action against the Daily Mail, stating that their publication of the video is a "gross violation of her privacy".
