Amy Heckerling confirms 'Clueless' musical

Clueless director Amy Heckerling has confirmed that a musical of her '90s cult classic is so happening on Broadway. She also confirmed that Kristin Hanggi (of Rock of Ages fame) is set to direct.

As a jukebox musical, popular songs will be used instead of an original score, which is not a problem as long as they promise to use the songs Rollin With The Homies and Supermodel from the movie's original soundtrack.

As for the cast? "Well, casting, that's like going to be like the main problem," Amy told ET. Indeed, actors stepping in for Alicia Silverstone, Paul Rudd and the late Brittany Murphy have some pretty big shoes to fill.
