Amber Rose defends Kim Kardashian's nude selfie against Pink
Here we go again
The social media war between celebrities on the controversial nude selfie Kim Kardashian posted earlier this week has not ended. Not even close. The latest celebs to get pulled into this vicious cycle of we-should-empower-women-but-you're-slutty are Pink and Amber Rose.
After Kim's open letter about her selfie went viral, Pink had some very strong opinions about it and was not afraid to voice them out. She shared her thoughts in a Twitter post.
It sounded like she was throwing shade at Kim but in our opinion, she could be referring to someone or something else. Kim's newfound friend Amber Rose took to Instagram later on, to defend her decision to post her nude selfie.
"Damn Pink we were all born naked, society sexualises our breast and bodies. If a grown mother of two is uncomfortable with her body and wants to show it off that's none of your business or anyone else's. Now, if you wanna talk to kids and be a mentor to young teens, tell them to go to school and to not use their bodies to get ahead?! I'm all for it!" Amber wrote.
"But please as a grown woman let another grown woman live as she wishes. That's our problem! We're so quick to down each other instead of uplifting! Pink, we've seen you damn near naked swinging from a rope (beautifully) but what's the difference between a rope, a pole and a pic on Instagram? Classism," she continued.
"Because you sing while you're half naked does that make it 'classy' or is it because you have a 'talent'? I'm not dissing at all Pink just curious after you said "You'll never have to make a silly excuse for yourself.""
It's hard to take sides (not that we want to) when Pink attempts to encourage self-respect and Amber's you-can-do-anything-you-want stance are both equally empowering. We'll just have to see what Pink says next.
Meanwhile, this happened.
