Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender met on the dance floor
The low-key couple gush about each other in a new video and we can't love them more
Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender have always kept their relationship private, other than the rare caught-on-camera kiss. In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight to promote their upcoming film The Light Between Oceans, the two let the world in on why their on-screen chemistry is so believable: "It was sort of there from the beginning, really," Michael said.
"We had met at Toronto Film Festival, just on the dance floor," Alicia said before Michael quipped in with "I thought [I was a good dancer] until she started dancing and then I felt like I had two left feet."
"She's a very fierce performer and very brave," the 39-year-old actor said of his girlfriend's performance in the drama, in which they play a married couple. "As you're testing the boundaries of how far you can go – she's definitely got all of those things in spades."
Needless to say, Michael and Alicia loved working with each other, so much so that making the movie didn't feel like a job anymore.
"What is this love thing?" Michael added.
Right? WHAT IS THIS LOVE THING?
