A third woman accuses Ed Westwick of sexual assault in 2014
The actor allegedly assaulted three women in the same year
It's been less than a week since Kristina Cohen and Aurélie Wynn came forward alleging that actor Ed Westwick raped them on separate occasions in 2014. The Gossip Girl star has since denied both claims.
Now a third woman, Rachel Eck, has accused Ed of sexual assault. The creative producer told Buzzfeed News the assault happened the night before the 2014 Academy Awards. She had received a text message from her ex-boyfriend, Australian film producer Kaine Harling, asking to hang out at a hotel in Hollywood.
"On the way, he told me he was with his friend Ed Westwick," Rachel said before claiming that she did not know who he was at the time. She claimed that Ed had "asked me to invite a friend to hang out with the three of us" and "when I didn't bring a girl for him he turned his sights on me."
She said that Ed would "try to kiss me or kind of push me up against the wall" whenever Kaine left her alone with the actor. As the day wore on, she said "It got worse and he got more handsy." When she told Kaine about Ed's advances, he allegedly dismissed them and said Ed "didn't mean it". Ed had apparently also pulled her onto the bed and aggressively groped her breasts before she shoved him off her and left.
Three of Rachel's friends have backed up her allegations. "She told me he was grabbing at her," one said. "It was a crazy statement about getting groped by Ed Westwick."
Ed is currently being investigated by the LAPD and had his upcoming television series, Ordeal by Innocence, suspended by the BBC "until the matter is resolved".
