Meet the Gucci Bamboo EDT
The classic Gucci Bamboo fragrance gets a fresh revival
Gucci Bamboo is one of the Italian house's most celebrated perfumes, so it was only a matter of time before an eau de toilette was added to the range. The name "Bamboo" is a play on a classic Gucci signature, the bamboo-handled bag, but in the world of perfumery, Gucci Bamboo carries its own name.
The new fragrance is as alluring as the original, with fresher, lighter notes that make it perfectly suited to hot, tropical climates such as ours. The fragrance opens with Sicilian bergamot and mandarin citrus notes, before revealing a heart of pear and orange blossom, with the addition of sandalwood and refined grey amber chords to provide a pleasing contrast. The scent is then rounded out with warm Tahitian vanilla and white musk. Essentially? It's the kind of romantic and seductive scent you will want to wear every day (like we do).
In person, Gucci Bamboo turns effortlessness into something near-tangible – a scent that is unique, both unassuming and distinct. To the uninformed, the new Gucci Bamboo EDT appears to be a twin of the EDP, but put the two together and you'll notice that the EDT's scent is paler – a reflection of its more delicate character. The flacon features the same ridged bamboo metal cap, complemented by a beautiful crystalline clear glass with subtle edges. Together, the scent and flacon make an elegant addition to Gucci's already impressive collection of fragrances.
The same can be said of Gucci Bamboo's campaign face, Gal Gadot – the Israeli actress is elegant, beautiful and pretty much recognisable anywhere, and it's not only because of her skyrocketing film career as a certain Amazonian warrior princess.
We think it's time to add Gucci Bamboo Eau de Toilette to your fragrance wardrobe.
