Yadim is Maybelline New York's Global Makeup Artist
Cosmetics giant taps renowned makeup artist to be the voice of the brand
Yadim Carranza has been announced as Maybelline New York's new Global Makeup Artist. Known for his brave runway looks and inventive editorial work, Yadim will inject his creativity to Maybelline and help shape the brand's character.
Even if you don't know his name, you are probably familiar with his work anyway. He has worked with Rihanna for Balmain, given Miley Cyrus a Marilyn Monroe makeover, painted Lady Gaga's face for her Applause music video, and made Gisele Bündchen a beach babe (not like she isn't already) for H&M. These are just the tip of the iceberg that is his impressive resume of high-fashion campaigns, projects, and runway shows.
The Mexican-American California native is excited to be joining Maybelline, which he calls a brand of firsts. "I'm excited to collaborate with the brand to see what other 'firsts' we can bring to the market together. I hope to also bring a little bit of my rebellious nature."
We'd be lying if we said we weren't the least bit excited about the prospect of wearing makeup designed by the baseball cap, sneakers-wearing artist himself.
