The Sarah Moon for NARS collection is here
The French photographer delves into cosmetics for the first time
Typically, beauty holiday collections are usually saturated in glittery OTT packaging with plenty of bright and sparkly colours – not that we're complaining! But when NARS announced that it was collaborating with French photographer Sarah Moon (the first woman to shoot the Pirelli Calendar and whose images are known for their ethereal, almost melancholic qualities), we knew it was going to be more than just another festive collection.
The Sarah Moon for NARS collection doesn't pull from Moon's photography archives. Instead, it features makeup palettes with dreamy original images of 1920s flapper girls with smoked out eyes and statement pouts. Speaking of making a statement, there's plenty for a party-ready look (or everyday. You do you).
The Look Closer Eye Palette (RM190), pictured below, flatters any skin tone with warm earthy shades and comes with an eyeliner neatly packed in.
For perfectly flushed cheeks, look to the True Story Cheek and Lip Palette (RM240), pictured below.
If single products are more up your alley, there are enough lip colours (the shade Indiscret (RM96), a seductive red, is particularly stunning), nail lacquers and blushes to swoon over.
"There is great trust, respect, and mutual admiration between us, which made it lovely to work together," said Moon of what it was like working with Franꞔois Nars. "Also, he's a photographer so he knows how fragile the process is. From the beginning to the end, it was a true collaboration."
The Sarah Moon for NARS collection is now available at NARS counters nationwide.
