Natalia Vodianova teams up with Guerlain on holiday makeup collection
Gold and sapphire shine in an Imperial India-inspired edit
Eternally fresh-faced supermodel Natalia Vodianova has co-created, alongside Guerlain's creative director Oliver Echaudemaison, a limited edition makeup collection named for the grande dame of oriental perfumes, Shalimar. The collection draws from the sumptuousness and riches of Imperial India, and features seven unabashedly festive variations on Guerlain classics.
The absolute must-have from this collection is the Souffle D'or De Shalimar (RM424), a perfumed iridescent body and hair powder. Housed in an atomiser that mirrors the original Shalimar flacon, each spritz releases the lightest veil of shimmery powder that glistens in the light. Use it on your décolletage, your hair, your arms.
Then there's the iridescent Météorites Perles de Légende (RM257), an exclusive version with three shades: pink to refresh, gold to illuminate, and blue to softly correct the complexion. The baubles are encased in luxuriant gold and blue, reminiscent of Indian jewel boxes.
For the eyes, the gold and indigo-blue shades in the Écrin Shalimar Precious Eyeshadows (RM209) keep the sparkle going.
"I wanted highly metallic textures for an intense look. I was also inspired in the choice of the colours by precious metals and stones: gold and sapphire," said Natalia.
For the lips, The Rouge G Exceptional Complete Lip Colour (RM227) is a richly saturated fuschia, and the Kisskiss Creamy Shaping Lip Colour (RM150) a pearlescent pink. Rounding off the squad is the L'or Eyeliner in Sparkling Gold (RM147) and Precious Light Pearly Pink Illuminator (RM203).
"I wanted to name my first collection Shalimar, in homage to the fragrance that I have been the face of for eight years and that symbolises my link to Guerlain," Natalia said in a statement.
In addition, a portion of the profits from the sales of this holiday collection will go to the Naked Heart Foundation, founded by Natalia.
The Guerlain Holiday Make-up Collection By Natalia Vodianova drops November 2016.
