Josh Whitehouse and Amber Anderson play lovebirds in Mr. Burberry short film
Burberry debuts its new Mr. Burberry fragrance
Burberry's My Burberry fragrance for women has a boyfriend now. The British fashion house has launched Mr. Burberry, which was inspired by its iconic black trench coat.
Creative director Christopher Bailey worked with French perfumer Francis Kurkdijan to create Mr. Burberry, which is described as herbal woody, with a zesty grapefruit accent. Like the My Burberry, the Mr. Burberry bottle can also be personalised with up to three initials.
"I feel incredibly honoured, shocked, and delighted to be cast as Mr. Burberry," the 26-year-old said. "It's quite overwhelming. Steve McQueen is a great director and Amber Anderson is a brilliant actress, so shooting the campaign was an absolute delight. I was so comfortable on set. We were all on the same page. Christopher Bailey was always around giving us his support. Between all of us, we were able to share a vision and I'm really proud of what we were able to achieve."
"For the Mr. Burberry film, I wanted to convey the idea of two people who are passionately in love," Steve said. "It's that moment in a relationship where all you are thinking about is each other, and all you want is to be with each other."
And true enough, Josh and Amber are just a dream to watch, and Benjamin Clementine's haunting vocals (he sings his 2014 original I Won't Complain) provide the perfect soundtrack to the film.
