Kiehl’s Set To Launch Their First Nail Polish
The skincare brand will be releasing an all-new nail polish in July
Kiehl’s – the heritage skincare brand Kiehl’s best known for their natural ingredients and clean lines – is launching a nail polish. Not just any nail polish – a black lacquer whose sales will benefit amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research.
Why black though? The shade is inspired by the company’s long association with motorbiking culture, and will launch in July, at the same time as their annual fundraising LifeRide.
“We’ve had motorcycles [in our stores] for 40-plus years,” said Kiehl’s president Chris Salgardo to WWD. “We’ve always had that biker-esque image, so we thought black would be great.” This year the LifeRide will be the company’s longest, starting in Milwaukee and ending over 2,000 miles later at Kiehl’s very first store in Manhattan.
The polish will be formaldehyde-free, naturally, and available in July for between $15 to $18. No name yet, but it already sounds cool.
