Jason Wu redesigns the Caudalie Beauty Elixir bottle
The fashion designer collaborates with Caudalie founder Mathilde Thomas to put a new spin on one of the brand's most beloved products
Jason Wu has been a loyal customer and fan of French cosmetics brand Caudalie for a few years, so a collaboration between the two was inevitable. Together, Jason and Caudalie founder Mathilde Thomas worked to dress the bottle of the Beauty Elixir, one of the brand's most popular products.
"I imagined how I intend to dress the Jason Wu woman, which is about refinement and sophistication," Jason said in a statement. "The lace-a code of the house, which I decided to apply to the outside of the Beauty Elixir bottle, is from my spring/summer 2016 collection."
The lace pattern was recrafted by hand to suit the bottle and a gold cap, an ode to the Jason Wu Diane bag, was added as the finishing touch.
Jason uses the hydrating part-mist-part-toner "once in the morning straight out of the shower and to refresh throughout the day - it is especially great during show prep" while Mathilde uses it in the mornings and on long flights. She added: "I have a large bottle at home and the travel size in my purse. I swear, I must spray Beauty Elixir on my face at least twenty times a day!" With a new bottle this beautiful, we can't imagine not wanting to use it as frequently.
The Caudalie Beauty Elixir Jason Wu Edition launches exclusively today, 4 August at Caudalie Boutique Spa in Bangsar Shopping Centre and selected Sephora stores before also becoming available at all Ken's Apothecary stores and online from 15 August. It retails for RM65 (30ml) and RM195 (100ml).
