Glossier plans to ship internationally

But not anywhere that requires animal-testing, because that's how you actually do things right

Glossier, purveyor of cult makeup and skincare products, has announced plans to go international.

The American beauty start-up was founded by Emily Weiss in 2014 as the sister brand of beauty blog IntoTheGloss.com. Glossier previously only shipped to the US and Puerto Rico, but has now (finally!) taking the leap into the global market, starting with Canada.

Okay, so it's not on our side of the world yet, but it's still a significant step towards possibly having Malaysia in the shipping destinations list; Glossier promises that they'll be "taking this country by country, making sure we nurture each new community like we did with our US crowd."

After launching in Canada, Glossier will also expand to the UK with a small London office, before reaching France in 2018.

"We can't make any guarantees yet, but we're working our hardest to make Glossier global," the brand said.

But the biggest good news is that, as a brand that believes in cruelty-free beauty, Glossier will not ship anywhere that requires animal testing.

"That's just part of our philosophy." Enough said.
