Gisele Bündchen to front Chanel No.5
The French house taps the Brazilian supermodel as the new face of their iconic fragrance
Bye bye, Brad Pitt. It’s time for another pretty face to take over at Chanel No.5 and it’s none other than the Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen. The Brazilian supermodel will be joining the likes of Nicole Kidman, Brad Pitt, Vanessa Paradis, Catherine Deneuve, Audrey Tautou and Marilyn Monroe as the new face of the iconic scent.
A Chanel spokesperson has commented that the French house chose Gisele for her ‘natural beauty and modern femininity’. Gisele is looking like a Chanel favourite; she’s also currently the face for Chanel’s Les Beiges make-up range.
According to a report, the former Victoria’s Secret Angel has started shooting for the campaign, directed by The Great Gatsby’s director, Baz Luhrmann. The duo was spotted filming in the Hamptons, New York and New York City itself last week.
This isn’t Baz’s first involvement with the fashion house either; he also directed Nicole Kidman’s Chanel No.5 video campaign back in 2004. We're expect some amazing multi-million dollar cinematography in the upcoming campaign, slated for the end of the year.
