Claudia Schiffer launches hair care line with Schwarzkopf at Walmart
Also, American hair stylist Ken Paves introduces his own hair products
Claudia Schiffer's hair care line, which she started earlier this year in collaboration with Schwarzkopf, is heading to America. The collection – christened Ultîme – of shampoos, conditioners, treatments and hair dyes is inspired by her history with the German brand and will be sold at Walmart from January 2015.
"I'm German, and I grew up with their products," Claudia told W Magazine. "I remember my mom always washing me and my two siblings in the bathtub with the head shampoo [Schauma] – it was kind of an iconic '70s product."
The 44-year-old supermodel had a hand in the creation of each product, paying especially close attention to the bottle design and scents, and using ingredients such as pearl essence, biotin and omega oil. And one look at her lustrous blonde locks shows she knows what she's talking about.
"You have to treat your hair like you treat your face," she added. "If you're doing masks and exfoliations and god knows what else to your face, you should be doing the same thing on your hair. What I've learned is it's a constant upkeep."
Only a matter of time before she creates her own skincare line, then.
In other hair care line news, American hair and beauty expert (and friend to celebrities) Ken Paves has also launched his own collection. The Ken Paves You Are Beautiful line include shampoos and a hairspray. By the hashtags he put on Instagram to accompany a photo of some of the products, it looks like 2015 is going to Walmart's year to shine in the beauty department.
