Dr. Fredric Brandt dead at 65
The celebrity beauty doctor and founder of an eponymous skincare line passed away over the weekend in mysterious circumstances
Celebrity dermatologist Dr. Fredric Brandt died yesterday, Sunday 6 April, in his Miami home, as reported by PageSix. Famous for his work with fillers and Botox, Dr. Brandt was known to have worked with a long list of A-listers, from Stephanie Seymour to Madonna, who famously once said, "If I have nice skin, I owe a lot to him."
Jacquie Trachtenberg, Dr. Brandt's publicist, announced the doctor's death yesterday. "He passed away this morning. He was suffering from an illness. Everyone who knows him is devastated. I worked with him for over 20 years and he was an amazing man; not only was he a brilliant doctor, but he was the kindest human being."
Although the cause of 65-year-old Dr. Brandt's death is unclear, Miami Herald columnist Lesley Abravanel posted a series of speculative tweets claiming that the "illness" he was suffering from was depression. RIP Dr. Brandt.
