Bobbi Brown Is The Editor-In-Chief of Yahoo! Beauty

Beauty guru and author to direct and curate the news portal's beauty section

Bobbi Brown has numerous best-selling makeup guides, an eyewear collection, and a global charitable initiative (Pretty Powerful Campaign for Women & Girls), alongside her namesake multi-million dollar cosmetics company. Now, she's also editor-in-chief of Yahoo! Beauty.

According to Bobbi, her delving into journalism doesn't come out of the blue. The Chief Creative Officer of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics has always had the profession in mind.

"If I wasn't a makeup artist, my dream was to be a teacher or an editor – and in this new role, I get to do both," she said.

Starting 21 April, the professional makeup artist will take the reins of the editorial direction, original content, as well as the development of Yahoo! Beauty. Her aim is to teach women that beauty is not just about makeup, but about lifestyle and confidence.

"I'll combine my interest in education and empowerment by curating amazing visual content that will teach women how to be their best selves."

"Beauty isn’t about looking perfect; it’s about celebrating your individuality. I already create a lot of content with social media, but my interest in beauty isn’t just about cosmetics. That’s what excited me about this opportunity. Beauty for me is lifestyle, empowerment, what you eat - so many things."

Bobbi's latest book Everything Eyes: Professional Techniques, Essential Tools, Gorgeous Makeup Looks will be available at Bobbi Brown stores in Malaysia from July onwards.
